Wapme

1. Service Overview

Wapme enables South African sellers to create WhatsApp-based storefronts. Wapme is not a payment processor, courier, or intermediary in buyer transactions. Premium users can fully remove Wapme branding (white-label).

2. Eligibility

• You must be 18+ and reside in South Africa to open a shop
• Verified status is granted after: 10+ completed orders, no active disputes, payment setup, and 30+ days of activity

3. Prohibited Use

Illegal products and services are strictly banned. You are responsible for ensuring full compliance with South African law. Automated scraping, cloning, reverse-engineering, or IP theft of the Wapme platform is expressly forbidden without permission.

4. Payments, Refunds & Chargebacks

• Wapme supports PayFast and PayPal integrations
• We do not process payments, act as escrow, or intervene in transactions unless abuse is reported
• All payments are subject to the terms of the respective payment providers
• All sales are final — Wapme does not issue refunds
• You may not initiate chargebacks without first contacting Wapme support to resolve the issue
• Violation of this policy may result in permanent account suspension
• A 14-day free trial is available to new users — no credit card is required

5. Security

• All sensitive credentials are encrypted using AES-256-CBC
• CSRF tokens and session timeouts are enforced across the platform
• Wapme enforces rate limits, audit logging, and fraud detection for all accounts

6. Account Control

You may access, update, or delete your account at any time via your dashboard. Wapme will retain essential data only for legal compliance or operational continuity, and never sells your data to third parties.

7. Buyer Experience & Branding

Buyers are not required to create accounts. Future updates may allow optional buyer profiles for order tracking and dispute support. White-labeled shops may omit Wapme branding entirely. Verified shops may display a “Verified by Wapme” badge. Wapme may step in to protect buyers at our sole discretion.

8. Fair Use & Tier Structure

Misuse of Wapme resources, scraping, spamming, or attempts to exploit platform vulnerabilities are prohibited. Tiers and feature access (including premium benefits) are detailed at wapme.co/pricing.php.

9. Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated at any time. By continuing to use Wapme, you agree to the latest version. Material changes will be posted to your dashboard or emailed if required.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by South African law. By using Wapme, you consent to the jurisdiction of South African courts in all matters related to this agreement.

• Google OAuth login information
• Name, email, and contact details
• Shop name and product information
• Transaction details (processed by payment gateways)
• Usage data and analytics

2. Data Usage

We use your data solely to provide and improve our services, personalize your experience, and communicate important updates.

3. Data Sharing

• We do not sell your data - ever
• We do not share your data except with:
  • Payment processors (PayFast/PayPal) for transaction processing
  • When required by South African law enforcement
  • Service providers under strict confidentiality agreements

4. Data Security

• AES-256 encryption for all sensitive data in transit and at rest
• Regular security audits and penetration testing
• Limited employee access to sensitive data with strict protocols
• Two-factor authentication available for all accounts

5. Your Rights

• Access your complete data profile
• Request corrections to inaccurate information
• Download your data in machine-readable format
• Request complete deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt-out of non-essential communications

6. Changes to Policy

We will notify users of significant changes to our privacy policy via email and in-app notifications at least 30 days before changes take effect.
